California-based Pebble makes a luxury electric travel trailer called the Pebble Flow. Like the semi-trailers offered by Range Energy and Trailer Dynamics, the Pebble Flow is designed to eliminate the range reduction caused by towing a trailer. It’s self-propelled, and includes its own battery, which can be recharged by regenerative braking and several charging options.
The company delivered more than 100 Pebble Flows to customers across the US in its first year of deliveries. Pebble Flow owners have now collectively traveled more than 250,000 miles.
As more Pebble Flow owners hit the road, they generate real-world data and customer feedback that the company’s engineering team uses to continually improve the product through over-the-air updates. “Every mile our owners travel helps us improve the Flow, and every future customer benefits from what we learn,” said Bingrui Yang, founder and CEO of Pebble.

Pebble recently introduced two new features to owners via an OTA update, inspired by owner feedback:
- The new Boondocking Mode offers a suite of features giving owners intelligent ways to manage power consumption during extended off-grid stays.
- Surround View Cameras deliver live streams that are accessible in the Pebble app via the provided iPad and WiFi connection.
“We are managing hardware and software under one roof. When we encounter issues, we can fix them fast. That is something the RV industry has never experienced before,” said Stefan Solyom, CTO of Pebble. “The Pebble Flow that our newest customers receive is dramatically improved from the earliest units, and with more OTA updates it will only get better from here.”
