Aqua superPower deploys charging for electric boats and cars at Italian marinas

Marine fast charging infrastructure provider Aqua superpower (which is scheduled to be acquired by NatPower Marine) is deploying charging infrastructure for electric boats and cars at several marinas in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government established a €2-million funding program to support infrastructure improvements at marinas, ports and nautical facilities throughout the region.

The first project to be completed under the program is at Portopiccolo, an upscale marina community on the Gulf of Trieste. The installation includes a 75 kW Aqua superPower marine fast charger for electric boats, and two 22 kW chargers for on-road EVs.

“Portopiccolo is an excellent example of how public funding can unlock investment in future-ready infrastructure,” said Michele Bolpagni, Director of Commercial Strategy at Aqua superPower. “Rather than focusing solely on charging boats, the project creates a complete electrified marina destination. We look forward to helping other Italian regions replicate this successful model.”
